Journey Through Musical Artistry & Production

Kitty has been producing musical performances since 1976 and recordings since 1995. Among the performances are Stephen Sondheim's Company, revues including one devoted to the music of Harold Arlen, and several benefits. She backed the hit revue Our Sinatra, which ran over three years Off-Broadway, enjoyed a nationwide tour under the auspices of Columbia Artists, and still appears regularly. 

Recorded Artists & Albums 

Through Miranda Music, Kitty has produced over 30 CD recordings. Stay tuned for the Miranda Music website, where you can see them all! Most recent albums are Clearly Now, with Marcus Simeone, Sean Harkness and Lina Koutrakos, and Marcus Simeone’s Christmas CD with Tedd Firth, featuring songs from the St. George Christmas show. Coming in the new year will be Lina Koutrakos’s newest album. 

Creative Partnerships & New Directions 

Among the well-known artists who have recorded for Miranda Music are pianists Tedd Firth, Fred Hersch, and Lee Musiker, bassists Jay Leonhart, Dean Johnson and David Finck, and drummers Kenny Washington, Victor Jones and Rich DeRosa. Kitty has worked with artists such as designers Frank Dain, James Millefolie, and Leslie Foglesong. Kitty has designed and executed many of her performers' websites.

Professional Roots & Recognition 

Before devoting herself exclusively to music, Kitty honed her computer and business acumen at Chase Manhattan Bank, where she received the prestigious Excalibur Award for exemplifying the Chase core values of Customer Focus, Teamwork, Quality, Professionalism, and Respect for Each Other. She was the first music librarian at Middlebury College, founding editor of the Music Cataloging Bulletin, chair of the Music Library Association's Cataloging Committee and representative to the American Library Association's Committee on Cataloging. 

Creative Life & Recognition 

For fun, Kitty has sung, written and directed choral music. She sang in the Vassar College Choir and the Vassar Madrigal Singers, at the Berkshire Music Festival, and in the church choir of Grace Church, Brooklyn Heights. She has written music for the Episcopal service. Her Magnificat was performed by the St. Stephen’s Motet Choir and later by the Grace Church Choir. Service music was written for and performed by both organizations. Kitty is listed in several editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in America.Â
